# Valyd

> Valyd is the AI-era identity and authorization layer. It verifies who is acting (human or AI agent), confirms their credentials, and cryptographically stamps every high-stakes action so every decision is trusted.

Valyd's platform runs on a four-stage lifecycle:
- **Verify** — Confirm the right licensed human is present via a live biometric (face vector, optional voice vector step-up) at the moment of action.
- **Authorize** — Check credentials, role, and scope live against authoritative sources; only proceed when the human is authorized for this exact action.
- **Prove** — Seal every authorization as an immutable, cryptographic receipt attributable to a verified human (Action Stamping).
- **Act** — Execute — human or AI agent — only after a verified human is on record. Nothing acts un-attested.

Valyd never stores raw biometric images. Face and voice are vaporized into irreversible vectors in RAM. AI agents act through Zero-Visibility Execution — they receive ephemeral encrypted payloads, never raw keys.
